Integration tab samples - malformed URL exception

Apologies for the novice question: we have installed the latest Essential, along with the viewer patch, strategy management pack, information and data pack, and integration tab. When I try to execute the samples provided with the integration tab, I receive the following error on the tab's log:

javax.xml.transform.TransformerConfigurationException: Failed to compile stylesheet.

and on the Protege log:

java.net.MalformedURLException: unknown protocol: c

My environment is Windows 7, 32 bit, with Java 1.6.0.50, and Protege 3.4.4 (579). Any suggestions?
