Auto generated incremental numeric ID

Hi there,

I need a way to uniquely reference entities from Essentials in external systems (for example, Applications that also need to appear in our ITSM solution). While each instance currently has an ID, the format is cumbersome (e.g., store_5_Class41875).

Is there a mechanism to automatically generate and assign a simple, incremental ID when an instance is created?
