Hi John,
thanks for providing the new version 6.21.7 of the essential viewer on GitHub. I was able to launch the viewer and test it with some data, that i have on meta model version 6.20.6 (EUP from release notes page).
Not sure, what updates are needed to have all new views in the viewer supported.
Is there any empty 6.21.7 repo to properly test?
i do assume, that compiling proper DUP or EUP files for Open Source will require massive testing and time from your side.

Hi Holger,

We only update the meta-model with each major release (6.20, 6.21, etc). We don't update the meta-model for patch releases. Usually, these releases happen every 3 - 6 months.

For the interim patch releases, we sometimes supply DUPs to add configuration to the repository for early access to certain features. All these interim DUPs are included in the next meta-model release. Not every interim release needs a DUP. This is usually only required if we have a brand new View, Editor or Data Set API that's not in the current version. For example, if we are just offering a new version of an existing View, no DUP would be required.

We don't maintain a library of empty baseline repositories for each patch version. Just the major ones.

I hope this helps.

Hi,

it's certainly an error on my side but I do not see any eup file from metamodel version 20 to version 21 on the page «https://enterprise-architecture.org/update-packs/».

What am I missing ?

I don't see a .20 to .21 eup either. Is there one available?

Hi All,

Sorry for the missing EUP. This was previously released but looks like the page was reverted in a recent website update.

It is available now now at https://enterprise-architecture.org/update-packs/

Interim updates are available from the release notes page https://enterprise-architecture.org/res ... ase-notes/. These updates get rolled into the next full meta-model update. These update packs are shared between Open Source and Cloud/Docker and so not all features are available to Open Source users.

Thanks

Neil
