After installing some of the .dup files and loading Essential Viewer, I see the following screen

[/img]

The boxes are all illegible. Is there any easy way to change the colors so that the text becomes visible?

Hi,

There are multiple ways to change the view styling and dependant on how far you want to go, what report, what element you want to change.

1) Styling chnages depending on what Viewer_Styling you choose. Primary and Secondary colors can be cahnged and you can create your own style. We use a predomaninatly black, white, dark blue main styling.
2) You can update or create an Element_Style > Not all are linked or populated and some not referenced in reports. We use specific styles for Application_Provider, Application_Services, Application_Capability. You can add the reference into reports as required.
3) You can create a custom CSS > Put it in your user area in the deployed directory. While this is our preferred way we have almost 10 years experience.

Hi,

Note, for that view it is gray until you have data loaded, or there is an error in the data.

Have you got data in OK? Put this in the URL to see enterprise/core_el_it_asset_dashboard_checker.xs. If that is all green then it may be a data issue, open the console and send us a screenshot of any error if it is the latter. If the checker isn't all green then send a screenshot of that and we'll see if we can help

WHere would I create it? All I did was import the .dup files provided. All are grey. However when I click one of those there are child capabilities that are shown in different color.

Hi,

The dup files may load a capability vie (all capabilities) etc but not the drill through detail you see in the repoprts. For this you need to populate via the launchpad spreadsheets.

I would suggest you do the following.

Step 1
1) Download the demo repository.
2) Publish it to a duplicate instance of your viewer.
3) From this you will see reports that are populated with data

Step 2 (Add data into launchpad) and upload.

I think this is where you are trying to get to. There are excelant support videos on this site to help you get to where you want.
